Thursday Nov 20, 2025
In this lesson, Creation vs. Evolution from the series The Twisted Scriptures, we examine how human theories and changing scientific claims are often elevated above the sure and settled Word of God. Many try to blend the Bible with evolutionary ideas, twisting passages about creation, time, and the nature of man to fit modern philosophies rather than submitting to the clear teaching of Scripture. In this study, we expose those misuses, contrast the wisdom of men with the wisdom of God, and reaffirm the biblical account of creation as both reliable and foundational to our faith. Listeners are challenged to ask: Who will I trust—fallible human interpretations, or the inspired revelation of the Creator Himself?

The Twisted Scriptures - Lesson 25 - The Twisted Scriptures - James Meadows
Monday Nov 24, 2025
Monday Nov 24, 2025
In this lesson “The Twisted Scriptures,” we explore how God’s inspired Word can be misused, taken out of context, and bent to fit human doctrines rather than divine truth. Many today twist passages to justify false teaching, man-made traditions, or worldly lifestyles—yet the Bible warns plainly against wresting the Scriptures to our own destruction (2 Peter 3:16). In this study, we lay the groundwork for recognizing these distortions by examining the importance of context, comparing scripture with scripture, and maintaining a humble, honest heart before God. Our aim is not to win arguments, but to let the pure, uncorrupted Word of God shine through—so that we can know the truth, live the truth, and lovingly help others untangle the twisted uses of Scripture.

The Twisted Scriptures - Lesson 26 - Faith Only - Don Underwood
Thursday Nov 27, 2025
Thursday Nov 27, 2025
In this lesson, “Faith Only” from the series The Twisted Scriptures, we examine the popular but dangerous doctrine that claims we are saved by “faith alone” apart from any obedience to God’s commands. Many religious teachers lift verses out of context, ignore the harmony of Scripture, and pit one passage against another to defend a faith that requires no real submission, repentance, or faithful living. In this study, we carefully consider what the Bible actually teaches about faith, works, grace, and obedience—showing that true, saving faith is active, obedient, and trusting, not a mere mental agreement. By rightly dividing the word of truth, we expose the misuse of “faith only” passages and call listeners back to the simple, powerful gospel of Christ.

In this lesson, “Opposing Error” from the series The Twisted Scriptures, we examine the Christian’s responsibility to stand against false teaching with clarity, conviction, and compassion. While many twist God’s Word to fit personal beliefs or popular doctrines, Scripture calls us to “earnestly contend for the faith” (Jude 3) and to expose teachings that lead souls away from truth. This episode explores how to recognize error, how to refute it using the Bible as the final authority, and how to defend the gospel without compromising love or integrity. Through careful study, we learn not only what to oppose, but how to oppose it in a way that honors God and strengthens His people.
